notes from a safe driving class

George and I voluntarily took a "safe driving" class to keep our insurance lower. These are my notes. The woman saying "That would not be pleasant" was the instructor. She wanted a lot of class participation, and once she got people going, I found the conversation becoming quite amusing.

People started getting all worked up about how everyone ELSE is such a bad driver. "They get worse every day! Have you noticed?!? It wasn't like this years ago!"

We had to watch a video of reinactments of bad driving. Some old guy says to the cop, "Then this CLOWN pulls out in front of me..."

I quickly drew this picture of a clown driving a car. George could not stop laughing so he scribbled out the clown. I had to draw a new one.

ok remind me to never sit next to you in a class. I get in enough trouble with my own overactive imagination, if I had your drawins to spur me on I would lose it for sure. I actually have seen a clown driving, it was pretty funny.

You are such a great artist! I am jealous. I know what you mean about *everyone* saying that *everyone* (else) is a bad driver. And everyone has gotten much ruder lately, too. Have you noticed?

Awww, poor clown! Your such a good sport to take the class volunteeringly, lol.

Mr. Althouse, I guess George had to get rid of it because the lady was still teaching and he was trying so hard not to laugh.

fredcq, you used to? How can you stop? You should start doodling again.

hey karin, yeah, I saw a clown driving once on the throughway. I thought it would be so funny if he got pulled over for any reason.

susie, we both passed. We were sitting in the back. I don't think anyone saw me sketching.

jennifer, yeah, and the reason most people are in the class is to reduce their insurance because of speeding tickets. Now they suddenly become driving experts.

momyblogr, Yeah, it was kind of a waste of an afternoon, but I got these doodles out of it!

Jenn, that is so cool. Wish I had your talent ... my doodles are worse than a 2 year old's !! Have a great weekend, Meow

clowns freak me out. and a clown on wheels are a freaking nightmare...

Hey Michelle, it was the kind of class you pass just by being there. No note submission necessary. I was glad I could entertain myself.

Thanks Meow, yeh... the weekend. We're off to our weekly Friday grocery trip. Maybe I'll have some new doodles when I return.

fredcq, you should post your maps. Drawing a map would be a huge challenge for me. That is a really awesome talent to be able to draw maps well.

Hey Nerdine, yes, never ever trust a clown. I say always give him the right of way. <:0}

Driving like a clown is not pleasant.

Your drawings are so funny. Are Snappy, Buckle Buddy and Clicky official names? I will have to call the clowns at the DMV to find out.

LOL! Meow, I just went to DSL (I know Im from the dial up dark ages) and now, it looks like your waltzing avatar is on crack.

Oh, these are great. When I went to my class, I brought papers to mark. I guess I was drawing, too?

Jennybee, I'm not sure about the snappy or the clicky, but "buckle buddy" was some newfangled contraption... either to make your seatbelt more comfortable or to make sure it holds together. I don't remember.

Hey Fred, how do you deal with doodlers in your class? Just because we are doodling, does not mean we are not paying attention. (I was forever in trouble for this in high school)
