Winter Games

I sold this cartoon last year as a holiday card.
It ended up not being printed.

Before I read your message at the bottom, my first thought was "Wow, what a great Christmas card this would make!" I can't believe they didn't go for it. You are so talented.

This is a lovely X'mas card. I love the mountain, the snow and the raindeer too!

Look at them, they are all smiling on their face, enjoying the ride. Not forgeting the nice color combination you had.

What a waste! Don't be disappointed, perhaps they will use it this year.

Keep on...

Crap! *I* would've bought it! I'm dead-serious!!! That is exactly what I've been looking for for my corporate Xmas cards. I can't do any religious-themed ones, and I'm famous for my sense of humor, and it would've been perfect. I've run out of the ones with the reindeer all asleep, and Rudolph is dreaming of Santa being up in front of the team, with Rudolph lashing him and on the inside of the card it says

Happy Holidays! May all your dreams come true this year.

It was a big hit with my clients...

I'm encouraged to hear all your positive responses to this! The card company that bought it really liked it too. They cancelled it because none of their customers ordered it.

Saur, I have another Ruloph card that they did use. He's in the shrink's office, and another one with Santa and Dr. Phil. I am in the process of selling them two or three new ones for the next Christmas season. If you go to Allport.com you can find a number of things I've done.

Nerdine, I will look forward to seeing your authentic Norwegian igloos! Have a nice weekend!

That is a great card. I agree with everyone else - it's their loss.

What a GREAT card. I can't believe they didn't print it, fools. I'm so impressed with the fact that you sell your work. That is SO fabulous.

What I was in High School, that is what I wanted to be...a cartoonist. I love, LOVE Charles Schulz

Mr. Althouse, thanks! I'm not sure what to do with it now... maybe someday I will use it somewhere else.

momyblogr, do you have some cartoons you can post on your blog? Are you a doodler like me? I had childhood dreams of being syndicated. That's not really on my to-do list right now, but maybe someday it will happen. I know the newpapers are always lacking in good material... I just don't have any good ideas for a strip yet. It's not common to find women who want to do cartooning... for some reason most cartoonists are men.
