We don't have much problem with static or dry air. I do know that the water level in it drops fairly fast, so we're getting quite a bit of humidity from it. We also get a fun fish to watch. :)Destination...Gloryland!https://www.blogger.com/profile/01695292885913534196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19671847.post-1142301414654674152006-03-13T20:56:00.000-05:002006-03-13T20:56:00.000-05:00probably just a little rock waterfall?probably just a little rock waterfall?Saur♥Krauthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01160101729455178399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19671847.post-1142236132539651802006-03-13T02:48:00.000-05:002006-03-13T02:48:00.000-05:00Never heard of that method. I put it down to a combination of socks with nylon or acrylic combination, on an acrylic carpet, or the car mats. It is usually from the car that I get zapped. Good luck with finding a solution. Now that you mention it, Susie, I don't remember ever getting zapped int the bathroom. Maybe we just need more toilets in the house.Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15143372699214608921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19671847.post-1142218578179673932006-03-12T21:56:00.000-05:002006-03-12T21:56:00.000-05:00I've never heard of any this but remind me not to ...I've never heard of any this but remind me not to drink punch at Suzie's house!Bar L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11100008292699584336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19671847.post-1142150793387235742006-03-12T03:06:00.000-05:002006-03-12T03:06:00.000-05:00When I lived in Truckee (about 6500 feet), to cope...When I lived in Truckee (about 6500 feet), to cope with very cold winters, many had either wood stoves or fireplaces of some other kind of auxiliary heat source besides the furnace. As a result, the air inside the house became extremely dry - dryer than the already dry winter air. To combat the dryness, we would put pots of water on top of the wood stove to re-humidify the air. It wasn't so much because of the static, although it did help that, but more to stave off chapped lips and such. Don't know how well it would work without a heat source, but it sure doesn't hurt to try.

~MikeMichael K.
