I took this photo when I was in Japan in 1994. It's a house sitting in the middle of rice fields.
I'm looking forward to seeing my friends from Japan. They will be visiting us in about a month. (This is not a photo of their house!)

How odd ... wouldn't their basement be full of water ?? I hope there is a patio at the front door, so they can get out without getting their feet wet !!

I think these people must just wear waders all the time to get in and out of their house, I'm not sure.
My friends are coming on September 3 and will be here a few days, actually we will go to my parents' house where there is more room.
