We never get trick or treaters where we live. I always get some candy just in case though, because we could get an unexpected visitor. Wouldn't that kid be disappointed if we tossed a can of George's anchovies into his bag?
So I only buy candy that I like. If we keep the porch lights off, hopefully we can just hide out in here and watch the "Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" on DVD and have all the candy to ourselves. hwahahaha...

Happy Halloween Jenn!
Charles and I bought candy as well. But noboday came to our apartment. We thought some kids might because we have several kids that live in our building. Oh well...more for us I guess :) We watched the movie Take the Lead, which we found out at the end of it that it is based on a true story of a man who dances. It is very good. We enjoyed it very much and I would recommend seeing it some time.
So far tonight (7:30 p, PST) we have had 8 groups come to the door. They are so cute. I wish I would have bought candy that I don't like :(
We always have candy on hand, but don't get trick-or-treaters... keeping the lights off helps. tee hee
Check out this photo on my son's blog... it would make a good greeting card, I think.

In my mother-in-law's neighborhood (that's where we spend Halloween) there are still lots of trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. I guess maybe it's because we live in a small town in the mid-west. It was very busy right up until around 9-ish.
Sounds like you and your husband had some good flicks to watch, though. :)
Some one named Uncle Joe and Cassidy love to eat candy. They revel in the candy bowl when it is full. I have to hide it.
We actually got almost 20 treaters this year which is a record high for us. Maybe it has something to do with the 9 foot airblown grim reaper I put out front. I only buy candy we like too.
Sounds like a plan, lol!
so did you do the anchovies?
especially now that I read you are rebel on badoozers blog.
