nature photographs

This big fat snake was crossing my walkway this afternoon.

He let me take a close-up.

These little butterflies are flying all over my yard. I suppose technically it's probably a moth. (We have a lot of dead grass in our lawn! It could use some rain.)

me no likey the snake, I would have shrieked and ran away rather than take a picture. I don't fear many things but snakes are just not my forte

Beautiful snake ... was it a poisonous one, do you know ?
We have many poisonous snakes over here ... I'm not a big fan of them at all, although they are interesting critters.
The butterfly / moth is soo pretty
Hope your weekend is a good one.
Take care, Meow

No snakes, thank you. He looks like he's in a bad mood.

You won't believe this, but if my son and I saw that snake, he would have picked it up and I would have held it too. We like snakes and that one is totally harmless. It's beautiful. We've caught several in the wild just to hold, then of course we let them go.

We have rattlesnakes around here but they are so easy to identify if we see one of those we back off quick.

wow, that is a long snake. The moth is really beautiful, too.

I'm just glad the last pic wasn't the snake with a lump in it's belly.
