some photos and doodles

Today we went to an outdoor art festival. There was some really good stuff there, and then there's always this sort of weird stuff.

Actually, sometimes the people are even more interesting to look at.

........................................................

Even though this is not a great photo, I thought it was a pretty good one because it's hard to get George to smile naturally for pictures.

We were at the Outback last night. I don't usually eat read meat, but last night I did, and it was very tasty.

I sketched this guy. They have pretty sturdy chairs there at the Outback.

........................................................

One morning last week this frog was sitting on our porch railing. I'm not sure how he hopped up so high. Maybe a snake was after him.

........................................................
A sheep drinking coffee, of course.

........................................................

I had a little time at the mall.

George has lost so much weight since we last saw you guys...I hardly recognized him!

Great doodles, as always!

George looks good! He is happy he is about to eat a nice big juicy steak!

I like the art photo! Those cups were neat!

How long does it take you to do a doodle? THe mall one for example??

Your frog looks very camouflaged.

I love mall cookie stores, except for pretzel stores. Those are my most favorite. Oh, I take that back...carmel corn. Now I am hungry.

George looks so nice! You both have the same kind eyes. Why does that happen when a couple gets older? They end up looking the same. Hubby and I get confused for brother and sister by old friends because his sisters nickname is my name.

What are the containers on the white shelf? They look to odd for pitchers and too big for travel mugs. The yellow one with red and white stripes looks like a Sponge Bob imitation, don't you think?

Oh, dang it..you know who I am. :)

The only reason I go to those festivals is precisely for the odd stuff.

sarah, I know, I can hardly believe it when I see old photos.

aunt jo, ha ha ha... George would gasp if he heard you say that. He won't go anywhere near a steak. He had salmon. I guess I probably drew that sketch in the mall for ten minutes or so.

emma, I think those are just funny little containers for whatever you want to put in them. Yeah, that has a bit of a sponge bob likeness, especially if the nose was bigger.

anon, thanks for the email.

fred, It is fun to look at!

I love your sketches, do you ever get caught staring by the person your are sketching.

That's a good photo of George. He's looking really good. Tell him I said that :) I hope you both are well. I miss you guys! We need to plan a get together soon. Maybe we can all get together for thanksgiving again?

I was just looking at the picture at the top of your post again. The fourth round thing ( I don't know what they are) from the top seriously looks like a boob.

doozie, you have some very keen observation skills.

moggy, I am careful, so I haven't been caught that I know of. Sometimes my sketches are not all that flattering, so I'd really not want to be caught.

marci, I will let him know!
