I'm going to keep posting about St. Martin until I run out of pictures.
These cactuses were on the hill by the beach.
This kind of cactus was used for the logo of a beach restaurant called La Playa.

i thought your life was a cartoon, not a beach party?!
thats all
I'm pretty sure by "naturist" they meant "nudist," so the answer would be yes, it has a "thing!"
I guess you have to pay for your dog, too! ;-)
The big Dyl, You're right, my life has been a beach party lately! when I run out of vacation photos, it will go back to being a cartoon.
Susie, That cactus indeed has a thing. No naturists allowed in La Playa. Some people on those French beaches are rather carefree about who sees their thing. The rule is absolutely necessary.
Sarah, maybe you have learned this word on some of your travels to beaches of the world, as we did there in St. Martin. And dogs do not eat for free.
I know they mean that dogs must be on a leash, and not allowed to "run free" -- it's funny to see how things are worded when the person doing the translating obviously doesn't speak English but is just going from a dictionary! You'd think they'd bother to ask a native English speaker before putting it on a permanent sign!
you know of course that the plural of cactus is cacti. I am the biggest geek you know. Hope your weekend is fabulous. jp
Ouch!!! That is one cool cactus!
Love the photos Jenn :o)
Sarah, more disturbing about this sign is the dog doodie.
anonymous (jp), on my blog you can say cactuses and bolony.
michelle, I thought it was cool too. :0)
Wow, for some reason I hadn't even noticed the dog droppings! I guess the "thing" was so unexpected it took my mind right off it! :-P
