When we arrived at the hotel room our first night at St. Martin we were greeted by this stray cat.
I started feeding her every night, and assumed she'd be sticking around for good after that. But one day she was gone and never came back.
The last time I saw her I was sitting on the back porch when she suddenly leaped onto a palm tree and caught a lizard, then gobbled up the whole thing.

I make friends with stray cats when I travel, too. I've met friendly felines in Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Egypt. Watching her gobble a lizard must have been quite impressive!
We stayed at a really old fashioned motel once in Seligman, AZ, while we were driving along a stretch of Rt. 66. The inkeepers were elderly, the original owners, and they had resident cats which they let spend the night with us in our room. I would love to go back there, it was like stepping back in time :)
Sarah, I would imagine you would be the friend of all cats, while missing your Gilligan and Skipper at home.
Feathers, That sounds pretty cool. Your room comes with a cat. They should include that in the brochure.
Yes, missing my boys probably influenced my friendliness with the local felines...Shh, don't tell anyone, but I let one of the stray cats come into my room at one of our motels in Egypt (it was the kind where the door opened to the outside). I didn't let her stay for long, though!
What a cute kitty !!
Glad it was friendly.
Take care, Meow
