home again

Crazy weather we're having around here! Here's some pictures from Friday morning.

There are disadvantages to having a finished basement... we've been cleaning the water out of our carpet for hours since our power came back on. Now we know that owning a back-up sump pump does not necessarily mean that it will work. >:I

Skippy looks so funny standing in front of this carpet dryer that we rented. He likes sitting in front of it, but moves if I try to take his picture...

This is better...

We also learned there are advantages to not having many big old trees in your yard. All our little baby trees survived. The old neighborhoods are a disaster.

Love the pictures - I'm glad I'm not there.

Glad you could rent a dryer. And, by now, hopefully most of the snow is gone.

Sorry about your flooding woes... hope you had dried out by now.
That snow is beautiful, but snow, nonetheless. I miss summer.

Skippy is funny! His fur is blowing slightly in the last photo. He is a doggy model.

Glad you are drying out ok.

Are you slowly but surely thawing too?

Is George able to work from home? I know you are. haha

Nice pictures!

Uncle Joe wants to know if any penguins showed up. :o)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never lived in snow so I can't imagine what it would be like, but it sure is pretty to look at!

Good news about your trees!!!

OMG, isn't it rather early for snow ??? Can't say I envy you at the moment. Hope you get the carpet dry enough, and it recovers.
Good luck.
Take care, Meow
