List #1 has one characteristic, and list #2 has a different characteristic.

Hint: The name John has both characteristics.

The first list all the names are one syllabil. I have no idea what to do with the second list.

I need to go get the teacher's edition. It's much easier to answer it that way.

Uuuummmmm, the first group of names are in the first column, and the second group of names are in the second column ... those are characteristics they share ?????

If nobody guesses it first, I will give the answer after Michelle comes back and tells us her answer.

I feel as though I've fallen into a MENSA challenge. Let Michelle solve it. :-)

The first set have the last 2 vowels in the alphabet and the second set has the first 3 in the alphabet. However, I think i'm wrong because i dunno how John fits in LOL!!

ok, here is the answer...

All names in the left column are spelled with curved letters. All names in the right column are spelled with straight line letters.

This is from the book, "Are You Smart or What?" I guess the author didn't think of your answer Michelle, because I think yours should count too.

Urrrrghhhh....i knew it had to be logical! LOL..wow Jenn that was soooo difficult! I was even driving in my car thinking about it LOL!

Seems too obvious now, doesn't it? I could not figure this out, I had to give up and peek at the answer myself.

Jenn said...

A thought I had... I wonder if you showed this to little kids, too young to read, if they would get the answer right away. I know I would if it was written a language I couldn't read, like Korean or something.

OOoo Jenn ,you know what, i bet your right! I mean, if kids can't read what else would they see? Shapes? Interesting, i'm intrigued now LOL!
