quote of the day

"Work expands to fill the time available for its completion; the thing to be done swells in perceived importance and complexity in direct ratio with the time to be spent in its completion."

--Parkinson's Law

This quote describes the month of February for me. I have a few things due by the end of the month. If I had enough pressure on me, I probably could have finished them all in a week.

Every day I drink real Japanese green tea, and I make it in this Bodum tea pot. A few cups has about as much caffeine as coffee, except green tea has a lot of health benefits.

This is my smiley dog. He likes to eat my cookies.

Congratulations Lisa!

Skippy is very smart and loveable. His one crazy behavior is that whenever someone leaves, he goes nuts, barking and racing around the house. When he sees anyone putting their coat on, or even talking about going (he knows every word for leaving) he trembles, and then goes nuts as they go out the door.

Other than that, he is perfect!

Jenn your cell phone is ringing.

What are those doodles?

What is Skippy's favorite cookie? Anything you are eating?

michelle, I love The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave... One brush with fame I had, I met the lady who designed the sheep's sweater!

Seeker, I am currently living by that motto.

hi jenniferP, nice to see you here!

AJ, Those doodles are SECRET! They are some Christmas card ideas I am working on. We share chocolate chip, except he cannot eat the parts with chips.

I'm just a die hard coffee drinker...I just can't get into the green tea. The Hubbs is all about the Tetley though, lol!

Cute pooch.

I always used to say that I do my best work under pressure. Although there is an element of truth in that statement, it was also a dandy justification to procrastinate. There is a fine line - one that I have learned to step back from, a little bit. I still get great inspiration from standing at the edge and looking down - I just don't dig the stress anymore.

momyblogr, I like coffee better than tea, but I just don't drink it every day. It makes me really energetic and then really really tired. I just don't feel well if I drink it too much.

Meow, my floor is like a table because it is always a mess with papers all over.

susie, they sell those tea pots at the Barnes & Noble coffee shop. I suppose Stabucks would have them also. The tea is harder to find, it should be in the asian section of your grocery store. It's a loose leaf tea and its called sencha.

Mr. Althouse, I just need to find a way to put the pressure on myself... I know in the back of my mind I can procrastinate just a little longer.

Susie,

That is interesting. You do have a Starbucks though. In the small town where I grew up they still do not have a Starbucks, but they do have an Asian section in the grocery store.

You will have to buy your sencha online.

I like the way your write out your laughs. I am not a big lol fan. I always read it the way it is spelled, and it does not really portray a real laugh out loud the way yours does. ha!

Do you have a Chinese buffet? No matter how far out in the middle of no where I have been, there is always a Chinese buffet.
